Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9th, 1976 from Beaumont Puy in Domme. Audrey Tautou's parents who were a dentist and teacher in a school helped and encouraged her passion for acting as well as theatre. The initial goal of her to become a master monkey was eclipsed by her wish to pursue a degree in theater and drama. She rose to prominence as an actress in her early years and enjoyed enormous achievement. It was only in 1999, the year she first began performing professionally. After her studies, Tautou took part in the French talent scouting television programme Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was raised in a Catholic home and went to religious services, despite having was a student in school at the Institut Catholique de Paris. She pursued a modelling career in addition to her acting work and is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. An avid photographer, she has recently exhibited during The Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. Her photographs are largely about fame and celebrity. They also feature self-portraits as well. Audrey Tautou's very first major part, playing Amelie Poulain's main actor in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain, brought the actress international fame. Amelie was a worldwide box office success, and received accolades during awards ceremonies across all over the world. It is the top-grossing French film in America. The film's success brought Tautou into a wide range of roles, ranging from British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
