Alexandra Cooper was born on August 21, 1994, in Newtown, Pennsylvania, to Bryan and Laurie Cooper. Her father played hockey at the University of Wisconsin. Boston University's coaches recognized her athleticism, and they offered her a sport scholarship. Cooper accepted the scholarship offer and played for the Boston University Division-1 female soccer team in her four years of university. In her final season, she was captain co-captain. Cooper was a leader in her team's journey to four M.C.T. In all four of her seasons, she won Prep A and earned the honor of All-Prep First team. She also earned All-Prep First Team and All-Area First Team distinctions in senior and junior. Cooper's talents were not limited only to athletics. Cooper became fascinated by the field of media and entertainment throughout her college days. She decided to pursue a career in it. Following her graduation of Boston University, she earned a degree with honors in Television and Film.
